2025年5月19日、インド政府の工業政策・促進部（DPIIT）は、家電製品を対象とした品質管理命令（Quality Control Order: QCO）を公式に発表しました。この命令は「The Safety of Household, Commercial and Similar Electrical Appliances (Quality Control) Order, 2025（家庭用、商業用及び類似の電気機器の安全（品質管理）命令、2025）」と呼ばれます。
今回のQCOは、インド市場に流通する対象製品が安全性・品質の基準を満たしていることを保証するための制度です。インド標準局（Bureau of Indian Standards: BIS）によって運用され、対象となる製品はBISライセンスを取得し、「Standard Mark（標準マーク）」を表示することが義務付けられます。適用される認証スキームは、BIS Act, 2016 のSchedule II – Scheme I（ISI認証）に基づいています。

この新たな命令により、IS 302（Part 1）: 2024 / IEC 60335-1: 2020 に準拠する90種類におよぶ製品カテゴリーに対して、ISI認証の取得が義務化されることとなりました。DC（直流）駆動の電気機器も認証対象に含まれます。施行日は2026年3月19日です。

テュフ ラインランド インド試験所においては、IS 302（Part 1）: 2024 / IEC 60335-1: 2020 に基づく全90製品カテゴリーの試験スコープに対し認定を取得しています。また、IS 302の特定製品要求（Part 2）規格に対応する、以下の10カテゴリーの認定も取得いたしました。今後も、規格の最新版が順次発行され次第、残りのPart 2規格に関してもスコープを拡大していく予定です。
