On December 16th 2019, The Moroccan Ministry of Industry, Trade, Green and Digital Economy appointed TÜV Rheinland as an authorized inspection body for the newly implemented Verification of Conformity Program starting on 1st February 2020 which is applicable to products imported into Morocco. The new Moroccan Program is in fulfillment of the Law 24-09 related to products and services security, complemented by Decree no. 02-212 and Decree no. 3873-13.
This appointment makes TÜV Rheinland as one of the first appointed inspection bodies for the program.
The program mandates the issuance of a Certificate of Conformity for all regulated products consignments entering into the Kingdom of Morocco by traders through authorized inspection bodies in order to achieve a smooth customs clearance.
This is part of the Moroccan government’s ongoing efforts to assure products conformity and quality through compliance to the national technical standards and regulations in order to protect consumers against unsafe and non-compliant products to standards.
The signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of Industry, Trade, Green and Digital Economy office in the presence of H.E. Moulay Hafid Elalamy - The Ministry Industry, Trade, Green and Digital in Morocco, Mr. Andreas Höfer Regional Executive Vice President India, Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific at TÜV Rheinland, Mr. Fares Naouri - Global Manager Government Inspections and International Trade at TÜV Rheinland along with other management members from both sides.

The products subject to control (local inspection) at the border of the Kingdom of Morocco are:
- Automotive Spare Parts: Tires, Batteries, Brake Lining, Glazing, Filter Elements, Mechanical Control Cable
- Building Products: Ceramic Tiles, Cement, Sealing Foils, Sanitary Products, Fittings, Plastic Pipes and Fittings
- Wooden panels
- Gas Appliances: Gas Furnaces, Gas Water Heaters
- Wire rod and concrete reinforcing iron
- Articles of clothing other than work wear
- Electrical products: Mobile phone chargers, circuit breakers
- Rugs, Carpets, Carpet and Upholstery Fabrics
- Baby diapers

Le 16 décembre 2019, le Ministère Marocain de l'Industrie, du Commerce, de l'Economie Verte et Numérique a nommé le TÜV Rheinland en tant qu'organisme d'inspection agréé pour le programme de vérification de la conformité nouvellement mis en œuvre à compter du 1er février 2020, qui s'applique aux produits importés au Maroc. Le nouveau programme marocain est conforme à la loi no 24-09 relative à la sécurité des produits et services, complétée par le décret no 02- 212 et décret no 3873-13.
Cette nomination fait du TÜV Rheinland l'un des premiers organismes d'inspection désignés pour le programme.
Le programme prescrit la délivrance d'un certificat de conformité pour tous les envois de produits réglementés entrant au Royaume du Maroc par les commerçants par le biais d'organismes d'inspection agréés afin de réaliser un dédouanement en douceur.
Cela fait partie des efforts continus du gouvernement marocain pour assurer la conformité et la qualité des produits grâce à la conformité aux normes et réglementations techniques nationales afin de protéger les consommateurs contre les produits dangereux et non conformes aux normes.
La cérémonie de signature s'est tenue au bureau du ministère de l'Industrie, du Commerce, de l'Économie verte et numérique en présence de S.E. Moulay Hafid Elalamy - Le Ministère de l'Industrie, du Commerce, de l'Economie Verte et Numérique au Maroc, M. Andreas Höfer vice-président exécutif et directeur régional de l'Inde, Moyen-Orient, Afrique et Asie-Pacifique- TÜV Rheinland, M. Fares Naouri - Directeur Mondial d'Inspections Gouvernementales et Commerce International - TÜV Rheinland avec d'autres membres de la direction des deux côtés.

Les produits soumis au contrôle au niveau des postes frontières du Royaume sont :
- Pièces de rechanges automobiles : Pneus, Batteries, Garnitures de frein, vitrage, Eléments filtrants, Câble de commande mécanique
- Produits de construction : Carreaux céramiques, Ciment, Feuilles d’étanchéité, les produits sanitaires, la robinetterie, Tubes en matière plastique
- Panneaux en bois
- Appareils à gaz : Appareils de chauffage à gaz, Chauffe-eaux à gaz
- Fil machine et fer à béton
- Articles d'habillement autres que vêtements de travail
- Produits électriques : Chargeurs pour téléphones portables, disjoncteurs
- Couvertures, Tapis, Moquettes et Tissus d’ameublement
- Couches bébés
