ABC’s Jonathan Bloom visited our new IoT Excellence Testing Center in Fremont, CA earlier this month. See his whole report and a quick tour of the new facility, where the hottest new devices will be tested before they hit the market.

This new, state-of-the-art IoT facility offers an unmatched testing ability, as we test with industry alliances and offer short and long range wireless testing. Along with the existing Pleasanton, CA lab, the wireless testing capabilities in Fremont complete TUV Rheinland’s product safety testing and certification capabilities.

The Fremont testing center boasts a 10M semi-anechoic chamber for extensive regulatory testing capabilities. Additionally, the IoT center provides SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) and OTA (Over the Air) testing certifications.

We are the authorized test lab for many alliances including: LoRa, zigbee, Bluetooth, WiFi, and Thread. Recently, TUV Rheinland became the first authorized test house in the US for the LoRa Alliance. With the rapid growth of smart devices connected to the Internet, this new testing facility provides an end-to-end testing and certification solution, allowing customers to get to market quicker and position themselves competitively within the marketplace.
