TŰV Rheinland launches first Radiological Health and Safety Convention

TŰV Rheinland Philippine will launch the first Radiological Health and Safety Convention on June 27-29,2018 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City, Philippines. Under the backdrop of the overarching theme - “Building a More Sustainable, Healthier, and Safer Working Environment,” all practitioners will have the opportunity for in-depth discussion to improve the quality and optimize resource allocation in the radiological health industry.

Recognized by the Department of Health, this convention will cover various topics on radiology, and attendees include established industry experts and health safety practitioners. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) will grant 13 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) units all licensed radiologic technologists.

 

The broad topics at the convention include:

1. Occupational health and safety in diagnostic radiology;

2. Comprehensive quality approach in diagnostic imaging; and,

3. Performance indicators for measuring and improving radiology department performance.

 

Further, the platform also serves as an excellent networking opportunity among professionals in the public policy, health and building blueprint professional for channeling available resources.

 

In 2006, the “Higher Education Act,” was released by the Commission on Higher Education with the purpose of rationalizing Radiologic Technology Education in Philippines. The end goal is to equip our licensed professionals with the latest industry knowledge. This will ensure our professionals will be globally competitive in the long run.
