TÜV Rheinland Japan Supports Yokohama City’s “I • TOP Yokohama” Project

TÜV to speak about “Cyber Security Risks” at the kickoff event on June 2017.

Yokohama City plans to hold a kickoff event at Pacifico Yokohama in order to showcase the “I • TOP Yokohama” project to the city’s businesses and citizens. A series of keynote lectures covering a variety of themes, ranging from “Support the use of IoT technology in manufacturing”, “Mobility”, “Housing”, “Industrial Security”, “IoT Security”, “Drone” to “Telecommunication Network” are scheduled to be delivered by representatives from businesses and groups from various industries. This includes Mr. Adam Bown, senior ICT consultant at TÜV Rheinland, who will speak on the topic of “Cyber-security Risk”. The event will be held at Pacifico Yokohama on 20 Jun 2017.

Yokohama City and IDEC Yokohama launched its “IoT Open Innovation Partners (I • TOP Yokohama)” Project in April 2017, taking advantage of the fact that the city is a major hub of manufacturing and IT industry sites. The goal of “I • TOP Yokohama” Project is to provide a platform for technological exchanges and tie-ups, project promotions and IT engineer development. It is intended to help create new businesses that make use of IT technologies, including IoT, big data, AI and robotics. The project is now soliciting the participation of businesses and groups in this plan. to date, 65 companies and groups have applied.
