With regards to the new requirements for PAH for TOYS, what if the article is not a TOY, but a device 'Intended for use by children'? Does TÜV Rheinland provide testing/certification for CPSC Standards for toys and devices 'intended to be used by children'?
Regardless of whether the article is defined as a toy or as a device intended to be used by children, it must meet 0-3yrs Category 1 for PAH. There are different thresholds for children under 3 and children over 3.
TÜV Rheinland’s Bentonville, AR lab handles toys and textiles. That’s also our environmental lab where we do all the environmental testing for RoHS, REACH, LEED and others. Accredited to CPSC from the CPSIA and we can test toys both mechanically and chemically for U.S., Canada, and EU.
