TÜV Rheinland Korea is registered as SASO Energy Efficiency Laboratory for Commercial Large-Capacity Air Conditioners

TÜV Rheinland Korea’s energy efficiency laboratory, located in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, was registered as an EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) test laboratory for commercial large-capacity air conditioners by SASO (Saudi Arabia Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization).

SASO has released a new standard for air conditioners – SASO 2874:2016 which will be implemented with binding effect on September 1, 2017.

TÜV Rheinland Korea’s energy efficiency laboratory had been registered as test laboratory for standards, SASO 2663, SASO 2682 and SASO 2681 in October 2014. TÜV Rheinland Korea has added the new test scope, SASO 2874:2016 for the Unitary, VRF multi-split, Multi-split air conditioner and water source heat pump in July 2017.

To export air conditioners to Saudi Arabia, manufacturers have to comply with SASO Certificate of Conformity, the Energy Efficiency registration requirement such as SASO 2663/2014, SASO 2874:2016, SASO 2682, SASO 2681, and the G Mark certification requirement - a mandatory requirement for a variety of goods entering Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets.

TÜV Rheinland Korea is not only registered as an EER test laboratory by SASO, but also designated as Notified Body by GSO (Gulf Standardization Organization) for the ‘G Mark’. We can provide one-stop service to domestic air-conditioning manufacturing companies who want to enter the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) market of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.
