Inspection for Solar Power Plant in Turkey

In May 2016, one of the leading German solar power plant manufacturers, in cooperation with Turkish investors and an electric power company chose TÜV Rheinland Energy GmbH as technical advisor and inspection body for the newly built 4.7 MW photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Isparta, Turkey. Several companies worked together on building the 8-hectare large system. The client turned to TÜV Rheinland for construction supervision and final acceptance technical inspection.

Initial situation and requirements

The client, one of the leading German suppliers of large photovoltaic systems, has a number of solar projects in Germany and abroad in France, Japan and Turkey. We have provided consultation and inspection services for solar projects for them in the past. This most recent endeavor was the pioneering, multi-megawatt project in Isparta, Turkey.

Specialists from TÜV Rheinland Energy GmbH carried out several necessary inspections. Our team conducted energy yield predictions, as well as specification checks of power measurements and quality assurance tests in our solar test center in Cologne, Germany.

Solutions, results

Construction supervision and final technical inspection are required for the safe installation and operation of photovoltaic solar systems. In the inspection process, we conducted a detailed evaluation of technical aspects of the photovoltaic solar systems and documented results to increase quality assurance and transparency on the project.
