With SME Corporation Malaysia and Electrical & Electronic Productivity Nexus as event partners, participants from sectors such as machinery, medical devices and consumer products enjoyed opportunities to network extensively with key stakeholders across various industry verticals.

Over the half day event, the participants gleaned insights and in-depth information of the industry through the sharing by TÜV Rheinland’s experts, on topics that were specific to their industry.

To mention a few: Electrical Product Safety, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Testing, Industrial Machinery & Components inspections, and Insights on ISO 13485:2016, CE Certification Audit & Testing for Medical Devices. Mr Alvin Leong, Manager of Product Division, further shared on the process of applying a CE Mark on commercial products.

During the interactive Q&A session, participants also got to learn from the global perspectives shared by TÜV Rheinland speakers.

Some of the key takeaways shared by the speakers were:

  • enabling market access to most countries and regions around the globe
  • provision of knowledge on the regulatory requirements and relevant certification services
  • provision of inspection services from a global authority goes a long way

Following the positive feedback from the participants, TÜV Rheinland will be exploring further opportunities to organise more technical sharing sessions in future.

Not only will such sessions allow professionals from various industries to understand the importance of product safety, they get to be updated on the latest technical requirements so that they can plan ahead to improve their product quality for global market access.
