TÜV Rheinland Certifies Playground Project in Vietnam

TÜV Rheinland accompanies with Vietnamese businesses to elevate product quality and safety with conformity certification according to international standards

Nha Trang, Vietnam, September 13, 2024 – TÜV Rheinland Vietnam has awarded conformity certifications for outdoor fitness equipment and children's playground equipment to Vietphap Company Limited (Vifa Sport). This marks a significant milestone for Vifa Sport in enhancing product quality and safety while opening up export opportunities to international markets, particularly Europe.

With the goal of becoming a reputable sports equipment brand, Vifa Sport has invested significantly in a large-scale production facility to meet the diverse needs of the domestic market. Concurrently, they are making strides in conquering international markets by obtaining certifications for their products in accordance with European standards. Since September 2022, TÜV Rheinland Vietnam has been a key partner in this journey, playing an integral role in evaluating and approving Vifa Sport's products. TÜV Rheinland’s experts also provided critical improvement recommendations to ensure compliance with standards prior to product testing, thereby guaranteeing adherence.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Son, Local Field Manager - Hardlines Laboratory at TÜV Rheinland Vietnam, remarked: "The EN standard is emblematic of the European Union (EU), encompassing quality, technical safety, and environmental protection standards required by EU member states. Only products that meet European standards are permitted to circulate in European markets. The EN certification serves as a passport for products to be freely traded within Europe. Vifa Sport has distinguished itself in both design and production, with TÜV Rheinland certifying their outdoor fitness equipment to meet EN 16630:2015 standard and their children's playground equipment complying with EN 1176 standard. This ensures the equipment’s appropriate level of safety for children playing in, on, or around playground equipment, while also promoting enhanced features and providing children with enjoyable experiences."

Achieving these certifications positions Vifa Sport as one of the first manufacturers in Vietnam to have its outdoor fitness equipment and children's playground equipment meet the stringent safety and quality standards of Europe. This accomplishment not only elevates Vifa Sport's standing in the domestic market but also supports the company's expansion into export markets, particularly to countries with high safety demands in Europe.
