In August 2018, the Academy and Life Care Business Stream of TÜV Rheinland Indonesia, in partnership with FESTO, successfully held the "Industry 4.0 Transformation Expert Personnel Certification" program for the Research and Development Agency (BPPI) of the Indonesian Ministry of Industry. The Head of BPPI, Dr. Ir. Ngakan Timur Antara also joined the event. This event was opened by Mr. Abdul Qohar as Director of TÜV Rheinland Indonesia.
The Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) describes the exponential changes to the way we live, work and relate to one another due to the adoption of cyber-physical systems, the Internet of Things and the Internet of Systems. As we implement smart technologies in our factories and workplaces, connected machines will interact, visualize the entire production chain and make decisions autonomously. As this revolution is expected to impact all disciplines, industries, and economies, "Making Indonesia 4.0" is an initiative of the Ministry of Industry in implementing the strategy and roadmap for Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) locally. Thus, Industry 4.0 Transformation Expert Personnel Certification is done with the aim to support the government's initiative.
The training was delivered directly by Mr. Safri Susanto, Manager of FESTO, while the personnel certification exam material was arranged by TÜV Rheinland Indonesia. Throughout the training, participants had shown very positive response and enthusiasm.
“I hope this training and certification can be further extended to other divisions of the Ministry of Industry, so that the implementation of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in our country can be aligned with the roadmap for Making Indonesia 4.0,” stated Mrs. Dian Suprapto, Manager of Academy and Life Care Business Stream of TÜV Rheinland Indonesia.
