Unprecedented growth is expected in the tourism sector in coming decades. The tourism industry has emerged as one of the fastest growing with a tremendous impact on local, national and global economies. Its industry offerings include a variety of products and activities (or sectors), including but not limited to: accommodation, food and beverage, business services and leisure . Tourism plays a substantial direct or indirect role in most national economies and its importance is widely recognized by governments, international agencies and local communities.

As a country with diverse culture and nature, Indonesia has great potential in tourism industry. The development of Indonesia’s tourism industry characterized by the emergence of competition between the tourism businesses. In response to this increasing demand, the standard of business tourism sector has been issued by regulation under Minister of Tourism and Creative Economic Number 1 of 2014 and 7 of 2014 on Implementation of Certification of Tourism Business in Indonesia. Certification of tourism business is a process of giving the certificate for the tourism business to support the increase of quality of tourism products, services and management of tourism enterprises though audit.

On July 13th 2016, TÜV Rheinland Indonesia has been accredited by the National Accreditation Committee as certification body in the extension scope of tourism (3501/4.al/SM/06/2016). This extension accreditation expands our scope in tourism:
